Obama moves to dampen uproar over comment on race
Guess all it takes is a visit to the White House and a beer to calm things down? Amazing the great things that can be accomplished with beer!! We will see how this plays out but it is funny to watch “The One” attempting damage control. Wonder what the professor will have to say….WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama concedes his words — that a white police officer “acted stupidly” when he arrested a black university scholar in his own home — were ill-chosen. But, while he invited both men to visit him at the White House, Obama stopped short of publicly apologizing for his remark. The president …Read more […..]
'Scofflaw' Obama Grudge Against Cambridge Police?
Had to add this since he stupidly charactarized the police actions as stupudly without knowing all the facts…One reason Barack Obama may think the Cambridge Police Department is “stupid” is that he has a grudge against the law enforcement agency. Obama, who attended Harvard Law School from 1988 to 1991, lived in Cambridge, and apparently didn’t like the fact he was frequently hit with parking tickets. In all Obama received 17 tickets for parking violations — and never paid 15 of them until he was exposed by a local Massachusetts newspaper as a scofflaw. According to a 2007 Associated Press story, Obama was a parking …Read more […..]

Cop who arrested black scholar is profiling expert
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (AP) — The white police sergeant criticized by President Barack Obama for arresting black scholar Henry Louis Gates Jr. in his Massachusetts home is a police academy expert on understanding racial profiling. He is very professional and he is a good role model for the young recruits in the police …Read more […..]

Referring to the officer’s “Mama” doesn’t sound so professional to me….Doesn’t surprise me either after seeing him on TV.NATICK, Mass. — A white police sergeant who arrested renowned black scholar Henry Louis Gates Jr. said Thursday he’s disappointed President Barack Obama said officers acted “stupidly,” despite acknowledging he didn’t know all the facts. Officer Who Arrested Harvard Scholar Not Sorry
So, now this officer’s face is all over the news(not here) and the press is at his house…. What a travesty this has become with even the President going off on the police. I am just wondering why nobody is questioning the professor’s conduct?? Would it be “racist” to do so??? Just wondering….NATICK, Mass. — A white police sergeant accused of racism after he arrested renowned black scholar Henry Louis Gates Jr. at his home insisted Wednesday he won’t apologize for his treatment of the Harvard professor, but President Barack Obama said police had acted “stupidly.” Gates has demanded …Read more […..]
Obama says police acted 'stupidly' in arrest
So, Obama is an expert on Policing now? I am sure he knows more facts than we do on the matter too huh? Placing all the blame on the officer when he doesn’t know everything that happened is real convenient, especially when you have lots of special interest groups in mind…. WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama said Wednesday that police acted “stupidly” in the arrest of prominent black scholar Henry Louis Gates Jr. and that despite racial progress blacks and Hispanics are still singled out unfairly for arrest. “This still haunts us,” Obama said. …Read more […..]
