Parole denied for killer of 2 Northlake cops
This is great news! Outrage surfaced over move to free man convicted in shooting deaths of officers during 1967 bank robbery Federal officials denied the parole request Friday for Henry Michael Gargano, whose pending release for the 1967 murders of two Northlake police officers generated outrage from law enforcement and the public. “Mr. Gargano’s prison record, on top of his lack of remorse for the crimes that led to his imprisonment, showed that his release would be incompatible with public safety.” U.S. Parole Commission Chairman Isaac Fulwood Jr. said in a prepared statement. Phil, The Honorable Cop
One of the most honorable and humble people I have ever know is a man that I was able to work with for over 10 years. Before I worked with him I observed him during my childhood as his parents house was down the street from me and across the street from my friends house. I remember seeing him pull up in his squad car, a very dashing and good looking guy–no I am not gay– who always waved to us kids and always seemed to have a smile on his face. My Personal Recollections of Co-workers, Northlake is “Cleaned Up?”
I will be posting my recollections, memories, and stories of my former co-workers. I will be posting positive memories of people I worked with, was friends with and respected. I have heard that the Northlake Police chief may have been saying negative things about past officers and that he has “cleaned up” the department since he came in 1998. Well, I strongly believe that there were no “bad” officers that needed “cleaning up” in the way that it is inferred.
